2. How can I check my bills on line?
Go to the www.livenet.bm web portal’s home page. On the top right had corner of the website you will find the My Account button. Click on “My account” and you will be prompted to enter your username and password. The username and password is provided by LiveNet, when you sign up. 3. How long does it take to set up a new Internet connection?
This process takes 5 business days, however when Livenet is requested to provide Internet Services which interconnect using other telecommunications service providers land lines, then the process can be extended up to 10 business days because of third party issues. If you require this is a short period please mention this to our support center that will do everything in their power to expedite the installation.
4. What is the Porting of a phone number?
“Porting of a number” is the term used for transferring a phone number from a telephone carrier to a different carrier. There is generally two types of number porting that is performed by us. (1) Local Number Porting, which is when a customer ports a number from BTC or another local carrier to Livenet, and (2) Global Number Porting, which is when a customer ports a number from an overseas carrier to Livenet.
5. What is the benefits of global number porting?
Global number porting permits an international phone number to be automatically routed to your handset here in Bermuda. The benefit to the Bermuda based user is that persons from the international destination can call that number and pay local phone charges for using it. In this way your calling party is more likely to not to consider the cost of the call when dialing you. Livenet currently supports global number porting from over 20 countries including;
6. What is a virtual number?
A virtual number is an additional phone number that rings on your handset. This number can be a local or global number.
7. How much Internet Bandwidth is required to use the Livenet Phone?
Our phone lines require an Internet connection which has at least 1Mb of unused bandwidth.
