Speed Tests - We to the extra mile, literally!

Our competitors will likely tell you to do a speed test using their local link. The problem of doing a speed test using these local links is that you only test the link from your computer to the local data centre.

However, when you use the Internet, your connection actually goes all the way to the east coast (United States) and beyond. A true speed test, one that will really test your experience will need to test from your computer to the east coast and back.

To do this use the link: http://speedtest.googlefiber.net and at the top right, choose a city on the east coast of your choice (for example: Raleigh-Durham). We also suggest doing a speed test from a laptop that is directly connected into the modem.

Take note that when you do a speed test from a wireless device, it will show the speed minus the current usage on the network.
